Courtney E. Martin has been co-developing the Star Factor coaching model, along with Drs. Janet Patti and Robin Stern, her mentors, since 2001. She has coached school counselors, teachers, math and literacy coaches, former principals, and teenagers. In addition, she has presented and co-presented on emotional intelligence in various venues, including, most recently for the health and wellness staff of Colorado College.

Courtney is also an author (her first book, Perfect Girls, Starving Daughters , was published by Simon & Schuster in March 2007), an adjunct professor of women's studies at Hunter College , and a documentary filmmaker.
