Marcia Knoll Ed.D. is a career educator who has served in all the educational seats. She has been a teacher, a principal and Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the New York City Public Schools. She became Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services in the Valley Stream Central High School district on Long Island.

Dr Knoll is currently an Associate Professor of Educational Administration and Supervision at Hunter College of CUNY. She has had a variety of opportunities to serve, guide, and influence the educational community in New York State , across the nation and around the world as a member of many prestigious committees, an invited speaker, and as a consultant. Dr. Knoll has also been recognized and honored by the educational community having received numerous awards and citations. She has had many leadership opportunities in elected positions for ASCD (Association for Supervision ad Curriculum Development) and PDK (Phi Delta Kappa).

Dr. Knoll is a past president of ASCD. She is the author of several books and numerous articles. Her latest book is the Administrator's Guide to Student Achievement and Higher Test Scores (Josey-Bass Wiley, 2002).
