She is a former teacher and a current elementary school counselor who has over 10 years of experience training and providing technical assistance to public and independent schools around the United States and the world. Lauren is the Regional Implementation Director of Developing Safe and Civil Schools Project at Rutgers University, funded by the NJ Department of Education. She was a fellow at The Woodhull Institute, a women's ethical leadership organization, is a certified consultant to the US Department of Justice, a Grant Reviewer for the US Department of Education and a certified Star Factor Emotional Intelligence Coach. She is an adjunct faculty member at the Steinhardt School of Education at New York University, an instructor at Bank Street College of Education and The City University of New York. She is the co-author of the New York State "Respect: Interpersonal Violence Prevention Resource Guide for Parents and Educators" (New York State Department of Education, 2002) and the co-author of "The Importance of Self Awareness for School Counselors" in Emotionally Intelligent School Counseling (Erlbaum, 2005). She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from New York University. |



M.A, is a consultant, speaker, counselor and emotional intelligence coach in the field of social-emotional learning, emotional intelligence and bullying prevention. She conducts trainings, presentations, workshops and on-going consultation services to school administrators, mental health professionals, educators, students and parents to help create and sustain safer, more caring learning environments for children.
