Sylwia Kot – received a Master Degree in psychology in 2000 from the University of Gdansk, Poland, with majors in clinical and organizational psychology. Interested in organizational development, psychoanalysis of organization and the role of emotional intelligence in professional and personal development.

Since 1997 had been working as a psychological consultant and an assessor across government, non-government and business organizations. For the last four years she has also been working therapeutically with families and couples and is in the process of training as a psychodynamic counsellor at the Tavistock Institute, London. Sylwia currently works as a counselling psychologist in New Line Learning Federation, Kent, United Kingdom, coordinating the projects related to emotional literacy and providing support for students and their families.

She is particularly interested in group dynamics and management-staff relations. Sylwia believes that emotional literacy is one of the key factors in maintaining long-term, satisfying relationships, both professional and personal.
