Carmen A. Jiménez is an Executive Leadership Coach and an experienced School Transformation Consultant. Ms. Jiménez works with school systems, public and charter schools, institutions of higher education and education policy organizations on a variety of topics including principal leadership development, urban district improvement strategy, improvement of low performing schools, and building district and school leadership capacity and sustainability. In addition, she works developing the leadership of school principals, assistant principals and developing principal and assistant principal mentors and coaches. Her expertise includes helping leaders bring equity and social justice to the schoolhouse. Ms. Jiménez has designed and delivered leadership programs focusing on effective management, strategic planning, team building, equity and social justice, emotional intelligence and proper use and development of fiscal and human resource.
At Harvard University, Ms. Jiménez has been a member of the summer faculty at the Harvard Principal’s Center Summer Institutes and has served as a member of the Advisory Board for the Harvard Principal’s Center. She has also served as adjunct faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Ms. Jiménez she has led a number of executive leadership courses for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and the Department of Petroleum Reserves in collaboration with Askia Consultancy, LLC. Her expertise includes the development of human resources; team building; effective delegation; strategic planning; and the application of emotional intelligence in improving outcomes in business, government and educational organizations.
Ms. Jiménez has been a principal and turnaround specialist of three low performing schools and a Deputy Superintendent in the New York City Public Schools. She was a member of the team that developed the New York State standards and examinations for certifying school principals and superintendents.
Ms. Jiménez possesses a Professional Diploma in Education Administration from Bank Street College and Master Degrees from Hunter College and Bank Street College. She is also the recipient of a fellowship and is currently ABD at Seton Hall University. She is a Partner at ¡On Point Leadership! A LLC leadership consultant firm.
